Creation

CREATION according to GENESE Chapter 1

Verse 1: "In the beginning" ... Simultaneous creation of time (which thus has a beginning), of space (the heavens), and of the earth. Time, space, and matter are created at the same time. There is an author-creator-architect, God (HELOHIM) in the plural. The verb create (BARA: making something out of nothingness) is singular, so there is a plurality in divine unity. (John 1 v 1 to 3).

There is no "Big Bang" see the article on this subject.

v 2: Sphere covered with water, uninhabited and plunged into darkness, but the Spirit of God is present.

v 3 to 5: The light is manifested. First evening and morning, and start of the day-night cycle. DAY ONE.

v 6 to 8: Creation of the atmosphere that separates the primitive ocean and the layer of steam that envelops the earth like a greenhouse (This will fall to the earth during the flood: ge7-11-12). DAY 2.

v 9-10: Appearance of the primordial continent from the single ocean.

v 11 to l3: Plant life that reproduces according to its species (Herbs, plants, trees). DAY THREE.

v 14 to l9: Sun, moon, stars, and planets (which serve as lights and calendar). DAY FOUR.

v 20 to 23: Marine animals, (cetaceans, marine dinosaurs, fish), and birds, each breeding according to its species, impassable border (but God has provided varieties (or breeds) within the species). DAY FIVE.

v 24-25: Terrestrial animals: mammals, insects, reptiles (including dinosaurs).

v 26 -27: Man, ADAM (earth, soil, clay) collective name and proper name, is created in the image of God. He receives authority over creation. He is created male and female (created adult and perfect).

v 28: Order to procreate and govern (manage).

v 29: Human food (vegetarian diet).

v 30: Animal food (vegetarian, there are no predators).

v 31: God says that his creation is very good (no suffering, no old age, no death). DAY SIX.

Chapter 2 v 1 - 2: Completion of creation, God ceases his activity (or: speech, message), He is not tired (Esaie 40 v 28), but He gave us the week to leave us a model, and to divide time (Exodus 20 v 8 to 11).

v 3: Apart from the 7th day for man to rest and worship the Creator. DAY 7.

v 4: (1st part) Conclusion and title of the first document of the Bible (perhaps dictated by God to Adam).

How does GOD create ? Psalm 33 v 9: "He says, and the thing happens, He commands, and it exists."

Why it is important to study this theme:

Psalm 111 v 2: "Great are the works of the LORD! Everyone who loves them studies them."

Jesus Christ says He is the beginning: Revelation 3 v 14 - 22 v 13

The word day (YOM), accompanied by a number and an evening and a morning, always refers to an ordinary day of 24 hours (a rotation of the Earth on itself).

Here are some questions:

1. Is the word "day" to be taken symbolically (representing a "geological era," or chapters of a poem), or literally?

2. Are the days 1000 years old or 24 hours?

3. Why do most people and even some Christians believe in the "Big Bang"?

4. Was the sun created or did it appear on the 4th day?

5. Most people believe that birds are descended from dinosaurs, what do you think?

6. Can a plant or animal transform over time into another species?

7. Did suffering and death exist before Adam?

8. What did the lions originally eat?

9. What was the physical aspect of Adam and Eve?

10. What was their skin colour?

11. Almost everyone divides time into weeks, who invented it?

12. Who received authority on Earth?

13. Do you think there are some scientific errors in Genesis chapter 1?

14. Are you troubled in your faith when you hear or read a "scientific argument" contrary to holy writing?

15. Who wrote Genesis (evidence to support it)?

16. In what language?

17. Were the people of antiquity less intelligent than us in understanding the narrative of creation?
